compatible HDTV Television Monitor with integrated QAM tuner, or a
cable box. Many currently marketed HDTV displays
contain integrated "Clear QAM" tuners. A display with "ATSC"
or "Off-Air" only tuners cannot use the HDTV service.
As of December 2007, 90% of HDTVs sold
have QAM or Digital Cable Ready tuners installed. We have tested and
verified several models from different manufacturers, including
Philips, RCA, Vizio, Panasonic, Sony, and more. Before you buy a TV,
ask a salesperson if it's Clear QAM capable.
Current users of Digital Cable can
now receive HDTV signals if you have an appropriate cable box with
